Creative Direction

My mission as a creative director for Vidyo is to maintain and evolve the brand in alignment with corporate strategy and to create and maintain design systems that allow other designers, copywriters, co-workers, and partners to access the brand easily and effortlessly.

Design Systems

A big part of a creative director’s role is to have the brand accessible to anyone that needs to work with it. This includes all global company employees, partners, customers, and other designers and developers.

Brand Creation

During the course of my time at Vidyo, the entire product line was re-branded. As Vidyo moved from on-premises hardware installations to a cloud based SaaS company, our marketing messaging changed. The following product logos were created as a set underneath the larger corporate brand

The print version of the brochure was designed as a square shaped tri-fold, intended to stand out among other collateral distributed at trade shows. It showcases Vidyo’s three products in one spread on the inside of the brochure.

Brand Identity Evolution

When I arrived at Vidyo, the current website, built by a 3rd party contractor, was locked down to employees at Vidyo with no access to stylesheets. A redesign was necessary as the website was not adequately responsive and about to lose it’s ranking with Google. In addition, it’s style was outdated. I led an effort to redesign the entire website in WordPress from the ground up including all six of the foreign sites at the time.

During the course of my time at Vidyo, I have managed / created / redesigned many websites including ZenDesk support sites, WordPress sites ( including WooCommerce, a WordPress multisite which holds six foreign sites, the corporate site, and the blog ), a native hard coded eCommerce site, the company intranet ( built with Lumapps in tandem with gSuite ) and have been able to play with many current technologies such as flexbox, svg animation, and detailed custom post types to support faceted search.

Corporate Collateral Design

Vidyo’s collateral was also in dire need of updating. Many of the data sheets, solution briefs, powerpoint templates, and case studies had different brand identities from over the years. Under my direction, a new brand identity was created and applied to all collateral past and present.
